Building Bridges: Who can take part?
In order to take part in the Building Bridges programme you must be aged 15* or over, living in Wiltshire or Swindon and currently unemployed. Please note that we are not able to work with anyone who is employed in any capacity, but we can work with people who are on zero-hours contracts that have not received any income from employment in the last three months
You must have the legal right to work in the UK in order to take part. The programme can support registered refugees but is currently unable to work with asylum seekers. The Building Bridges programme is also unable to work with people who are currently in prison.
* Please note: we can only support young people aged 15-18 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET.
In order to take part in the Building Bridges programme you must meet all of the below criteria:
Not Working
To take part in the programme you must be currently unemployed OR or on a zero hours contract, with no income from employment in the last three months.
Zero-Hours Contracts
We can only work with people on a zero hours contract if they have had no income from employment in the last 3 months.
Live in Swindon or Wiltshire
You must currently live in the Swindon or Wiltshire area in order to take part in the programme.
Be Aged 15 or Over
You must be aged 15 or over to take in the programme. Participants under 16 will need permission from a parent or legal guardian to take part. Please note: we can only support young people aged 15-18 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET.
Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
Either through citizenship, registered refugee status or other legal right. We cannot work with asylum seekers.
Not in Prison
We can work with people who are on probation, however we cannot work with people who are currently in prison.
Take Part
Register yourself or refer someone who you think could benefit from the help and support on offer.
